President Message
Spring 2010
Dear Valued CCA Members:
In today’s challenging economic environment, our focus as car wash operators needs to be about cutting costs. Some of the many options that can aid in cutting costs for operators are labor, chemical concentration, and utilities. While all aspects of the first two are under our direct control, the utilities are not. Gas and electric costs are all climbing, and water has been at the center of attention relating to the car wash business for at least the last ten years. Saving on our utilities will allow our operators to be more profitable, and is also a great way to promote their business. When potential customers hear about how using your car wash is better for our environment, you will lock them in to using your site only and not competitors.
In our never ending effort to give back to the car wash operator, the CCA will be hosting an event on March 9th at Papa Passero’s Restaurant in Westmont. The focus of the meeting will be about our Going Green Marketing Campaign. We will learn how to save on utilities and cutting costs by at least 25%. Numerous venders will be there, promoting their energy saving products and services. Some of our own members will also be present to answer questions about the changes that they have already made. They will be able to talk about how well these products have worked for them at their own car washes.
This meeting will serve as our first step in a series of educational meetings to help our CCA members to distinguish their site from a nonmember site.
Sincerely,
John Imreibe
CCA President
